Alexa’s Illustrations goes to market! For the first time, prints and originals were available in person.

Valentines Day is a very popular gift giving holiday for portraits and this year, was no exception. In addition to lovely watercolor portraits of happy couples and lovely homes, I also opened up my very first round of painted bottle commissions!

Line illustrations of homes and venues is the new hot item this month and maybe for the rest of the year? Seriously, these little illustrations are so great and versatile!

I painted some lovely pieces of Philbrook in partnership with The Inviting Place for some upcoming spring weddings. The Philbrook gardens are one of the best places to see tulips in late March, early April. Plus, the gardens are beautiful year round with the gorgeous architecture of the buildings, structures, and garden art surrounding the perfectly manicured gardens.

Holidays in Tulsa are upon us. It may be my favorite time of year (see the Holidays in Tulsa Map I made if you have any doubt). I had the pleasure of working with a pretty cool organization for their end of year party.

Things get a little quiet around here in November as all the paintings seem to be gifts, but I love the thoughtfulness of your custom painting ideas. Also, get ready for something new and exciting that’s coming in the new year!

For those of you who have been following along for a few months, you’ve most likely seen the updates as I announced this amazing project for The Scout Guide Tulsa!

Hooray! It’s the day I’ve been waiting for since May of this year: the Alexa’s Illustrations Tulsa Map for The Scout Guide Tulsa is painted, published, and printed!

Look at how beautiful it turned out! All the Tulsa favorites, including new ones that were added this summer, painted in watercolor, digitally compiled, and overflowing with all the love I have for this city!

September is the start of festival season in Tulsa. In the Before Times, there were so many unique themed festivals and events to attend, often falling on the same weekend.

The kickoff is always Tulsa People's Tulsa Restaurant Week.
