Sponsor: Book of Weddings 2026 OKC

Wed Society Oklahoma prints a new issue of their Book of Weddings each January and throws a fantastic release event for all of Oklahoma’s best wedding vendors to celebrate the amazing celebrations of the previous year.

Thank you to Leslee Layton for capturing the beautiful images of the day.

The event is put on by a fantastic team of event sponsors (under the leadership of Brandy of Blue Chalk Events) and I was honored to be a part of the Wed Society Ski Club team. Starting in November, I began work on an entourage of logos, patterns, and design work for the event. Invitations for the OKC (& Tulsa) events went out in December. The invitations featured ski club themed illustrations pulled from a hand illustrated custom toile pattern featuring both venues and wintery fun wedding illustrations. My favorite element that brought it all together is the WS Snowflake logo. Designed using the W & S of Wed Society this snowflake is the perfect winter mark, incorporated throughout the event.

Day of, I still had a lot of work to do. Those toile illustrations? I designed vintage inspired après ski club posters to frame and place throughout the event. I even got crafty with an entirely paper hand made bar sign. No engraver or laser printer used, just an exacto knife and a lot of mod podge to make these bar signs that were their own little top-of-the-mountain themed moment.

Ski decor was necessary for a mountain lodge vibe, so I grabbed some planks of wood and broke out the saw and sander to create some event branded Wed Society Oklahoma skis. The woodworking didn’t stop there, how about a reclaimed ski wine rack, of course, also branded special for the ski club event.

That’s what happens when your have a graphic design and wedding artist create more than art for your event. The art and design expands farther to become an elevated theme, touching all elements of the day. My logos and art were expanded and used by other sponsor vendors as well: wallpaper on Mood Event’s welcome desk, on the take home cookies by Dragonfly Desserts, printed directly onto the espresso martinis using the ripple machine.

Thank you, Wed Society, for including me in the 2026 Book of Weddings Release Event for both OKC & Tulsa. I had a fantastic time networking at the events, working with a talented wedding professionals team, and having creative freedom to create some fantastic pieces!
