TAC 5x5 2025
It’s the 25th Tulsa Artists Coalition 5x5 show! This was my first time submitting a canvas, and I couldn’t do just one, so I created two pieces!
Inspired by spring and the colorful pollinators visiting my garden, I knew I wanted to include a variety of butterflies and moths.
The challenge was incorporating watercolor on a canvas traditionally used for acrylic or oil paints. I cut the thick watercolor paper and painted the back and edges to bring these little paintings to life, sticking them to the canvas to imitate a prized pinned collection.
